Federal law requires educational institutions to report on the racial composition of both their student body and employed faculty/staff. While Colby has long collected data on the ethnic/racial composition of our population, collection categories have recently changed. This survey provides you an opportunity to submit data using the new categories

ITS is excited to announce that streaming television service will be available from any campus building beginning May 1st. Traditional coaxial cable service will be disconnected after June 1st.

High definition streaming television service will be available from any device connected to the campus network (wired or wireless). The service can be accessed in several convenient ways:

  • On a computer: any web browser at https://watch.spectrum.net
  • On mobile device (smartphones and tablets): the SpectrumU app can be downloaded for free from the iTunes or Google Play stores
  • On a TV: A Roku streaming device or Roku-enabled Smart TV with the Spectrum TV Channel (downloaded for free from the Roku store)

There is no login required for the service on any of the listed platforms so long as your computer or device is connected to Colby’s wired or wireless network. If you already have a personal account with Spectrum, you will need to log out of that account in order to use the Colby service.

Additionally, on or after June 1st our traditional coaxial cable service will be disconnected. Any TV currently using the coaxial cable system will need to have a Roku device to maintain service. If you currently rely on traditional coaxial cable TV on campus and need assistance planning for the switch to streaming SpectrumU or have questions about this transition, please contact the ITS Support Center at x4222, email at support@colby.edu, or stop by 146 Lovejoy.
