You may visit at any time during the month of April, but we have scheduled two Open House Days specifically for admitted students. Virtual Open House - April 9 and 17
If you aren't able to join us on campus, we will be offering several "Virtual Open House" events on this web site. These events will include a live chat session with Colby students on Wednesday, April 9, and Thursday, April 17 from 8 - 10 p.m. EDT. >>

Getting to Colby
Located in the heart of central Maine, the College is easily reached by car, plane, or bus. Colby is 70 miles northeast of Portland and 180 miles northeast of Boston. Major airlines fly into both Bangor and Portland, and rental cars or bus transportation are available there and in Waterville. Greyhound Bus Lines has a terminal in Waterville. A local limousine service connects Colby and Waterville with the Portland and Bangor airports. >>

Lodging options are plentiful in Waterville and the surrounding area. From convenient in-town hotels to lakeside bed-and-breakfasts and campgrounds, there are a variety of options for your visit to Colby. >>

These days are filled with special programs designed to give admitted students an in-depth look at Colby. No advance notice is necessary.

On each of these days you will be able to tour the campus, sit in on classes, attend information sessions, and enjoy a meal in one of our dining halls. Faculty members, students, coaches, program directors, and staff will be available to talk with you.

Below you will find a schedule for the Open House Days. Detailed schedules, meal tickets, maps, and other information will be ready for you when you arrive at Lunder House.

Whenever you choose to visit, we look forward to meeting you and sharing with you the many unique and exciting aspects of Colby College!

You are welcome to attend classes throughout the day. A schedule with class times will be available when you arrive on campus.

Complimentary lunch passes are available for the Dana (11:00 - 3:00), Foss (11:30 - 2:00) and Roberts (11:00 - 2:00) dining halls.

Overnight stays in a residence hall with a student host are available in conjuction with our April Open House Days. Overnight stays will be available Sunday, April 13 and Thursday, April 17. If you are unable to attend one of the Open House Days, we invite you to make a Day Visit to campus another day in April. On weekdays, April 1 through 30, information sessions are offered at 10:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. in Lunder House, with campus tours leaving at 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. On Saturday mornings, starting April 5 and ending April 26, information sessions are offered at 10 a.m. in Lunder House, with a campus tour leaving at 11 a.m.
